Teledentistry

We are excited to announce a new service at Garden Square Dental, Bayswater W2.

Teledentistry was originally designed for nervous patients but is equally suitable for some dental emergencies, and cosmetic dentistry consultations. Our digital platforms, including ZOOM and FaceTime, mean that our dentists can help patients remotely via Online Video Consultations for Dental Patients.

For many people, seeing the dentist can be an overwhelming experience, especially if you have not seen a dentist for a long time or have had a previous bad dental experience.

A virtual online consultation would be an ideal way to meet a dental professional and discuss your dental needs without the fear of seeing dental equipment, smelling the clinical environment or hearing the dental drills, all of which can be off-putting for the nervous patient.

You may be anxious about seeing a dentist or just need a second opinion, but now you can speak to the dentist from the comfort of your own home! The dentist can assess facial swellings such as those created by dental infections, or facial trauma without the need to go to the dental clinic in the first instance.

Any problems within the mouth such as broken back teeth or lost fillings would need closer inspection face to face, but the dentist could still provide the requisite advice and reassurance online. If appropriate, we can arrange a prescription for medication to be picked up from our practice or your local pharmacy. Your prescription order would be discussed during your consultation, along with any other pertinent medical history.

In terms of cosmetic dentist online consultations, patients interested in teeth whitening, teeth straightening and dental veneers could talk through the options at an appointment time that suits them. This might be especially convenient in the current climate where the Covid-19 pandemic has restricted social mobility. Patients that are shielding or self-isolating might also benefit from Teledentistry.

If you are keen to brush up on your oral hygiene regime, a virtual dental appointment with our Garden Square dental hygienists could also be arranged to help reinforce oral hygiene techniques to improve oral your oral health.

Perhaps you have been waiting for more complex treatments such as dental implants, which have been delayed due to the lockdown period. Why not get in touch with our specialist to go over the treatment plan and ask any questions you might have, to make sure you are comfortable with your proposal.

The cost of virtual online consultations will be £60. We are able to offer this cost-effective price as there are no associated surgery, nurse or PPE costs. We like to think it’s a win-win situation! Please do call the practice to schedule an appointment with a member of our team, whether it be the dentist, hygienist or one of our specialists. We would be happy to accommodate you wherever possible.

We look forward to hearing from you!

Absolutely fantastic. Dr Amer was fantastic via our Zoom call and took the time to talk things through. First-class dentist and I will have no qualms about going back either online or in-person!
