The veneers we use are made of thin layers of porcelain that are bonded to the surface of your existing teeth. On occasion we can also construct veneers from composite resin which can be blended to match your existing tooth colour.

Dental Veneer Treatment – Case Study

Here we take a look at a case study with our very own Dr Amer Saeed, who was required to measure and fit a patient with dental veneers. The patient is Wilma, a middle aged lady whose teeth had become damaged and discoloured over time. After consultation with Dr Saeed she had decided to have dental veneers fitted.

In the first picture, we can see an impression of Wilma’s teeth made using a plaster mould. You can see how jagged and misshapen her upper teeth are before the treatment.

In the second picture, we see a wax model of how the new veneers would look once fitted in Wilma’s mouth. Once we had taken an initial impression, we were able to design and produce perfectly fitting veneers, that would feel just like her original teeth, except giving her a healthy natural looking new smile.

In the final picture you can see the completed veneers fitted in Wilma’s mouth. The veneers were made lighter than Wilma’s existing tooth colour at her request, in anticipation of further cosmetic dental work. The veneers have covered any chips or damage, to her original teeth, giving Wilma a fantastic natural looking new smile.
